How to deal with failing at crafts

Have you ever had one of those days where your ideas just doesn’t match your creations? I just made this little guy – looking all goofy and weird. I thought I would make a cute little pumpkin box and share it with you today, but then this guy happened.

I do think he is kind of cute looking, but he is just not how I imagined him to be. I know I’m not the only one experiencing this from time to time, so I thought I would share this anyway, to share one of my  “you need to try that again, Louise” creations.

This is not the first time paper crafting has let me down, I always think I can make what I see in my head the first time around, but most times I can’t. I will have to go back to the beginning and fix some of my mistakes on this wannabe pumpkin, and I’m sure I will learn a whole lot from it and eventually make the pumpkin I had in mind.

I fail at crafting all the time, and I know how failing over and over again at the same craft can make you want to quit, but I believe that learning from it and trying it again will evolve my skills so much more, so I find the courage to try again. I do admit that sometimes I have to let it sit for a while before I try again, however, I always go back to it because I really want to learn.

My advice for today is simple. Just try again – eventually you will get it right, and when you succeed there is no better feeling.

I will return with the pumpkin when I get I right 🙂

Have a lovely day, and please let me know what you do whenever you run into some problems in the middle of your crafting.

Xoxo,

Louise
